ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Good hygiene and self-esteem are two important factors to consider when job hunting. That is why Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is hosting a ?Be Good to Yourself? workshop this year for participants of Goodwill programs. On June 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Machesney Park Goodwill Store, participants will have the chance to improve their image and self-esteem and better prepare themselves for employment opportunities in the community.
With the help of Goodwill staff and community businesses, participants will have the opportunity to receive services including:
? Free hair cuts for up to 5 participants provided by Educators of Beauty
? Free chair massages given by the students of Rockford Career College
? Demonstrations and advice on makeup worn in the workplace, provided by an Avon representative
? With the help of a personal shopper, participants will be able to pick out one interview-appropriate outfit from the Goodwill store
To register for the Be Good to Yourself workshop, participants should call Goodwill at (815) 965-3795 and schedule an appointment.
